24th Dec – Christmas Eve

As anticipated it was an early rise by Riley with a fantastic sunrise, we are all excited to be spending our time with the family. By 7am they were all over to see us in our little setup. After a coffee it was back to the Shards cabin for Bacon and Eggs before heading out to get a couple of kilos of prawns for Christmas, Joshua took the boys to the beach for a play in the waves with the boards. Toni and Bell took a walk to see the little lighthouse on the head which had been in operation since 1872 as part of a navigation network, it was gorgeous and just 7m tall! The view at the head is amazing. girls sighted 3 pods of a dozen or more dolphins, birds feeding on fish in the water and the huge waves splashing up on the rocks, aaahhh the serenity,  could of stayed for hours! After seeing the bay on the other side of the headland, we knew we had to get back to let the boys know we have found the perfect beach for play time. We were certainly right, even though the waves were big, they didn’t hit you like those at Scarborough. Of course this update would not be complete without mentioning the lovely homemade kebabs we had for dinner with stunning view and great company. With all the Christmas presents under the tree and couple Christmas movies under our belt we hit the hay and we were all ready for a lovely Christmas Day.
