13th Dec – Nambucca Heads

Yahoo the beautiful weather continues. Our local beach was not for surfing so we thought we would nip into town and check out the snorkelling options near the V-Walk (rocks along the boardwalk that anyone can leave there mark on). The tide was changing so unfortunately it wasn’t safe to snorkel with the current, but you could certainly see all the fish. Heading a little further south, the boys wanted a surf so we headed to Scott’s Head, apparently a famous world class beach... it didn’t disappoint. Boys enjoyed surfing whilst mum had a dip and relaxed on the beach (for something different). Heading back we picked up some supplies for the next few days and the boys went crazy on the waterslides back at the caravan park. We enjoyed a lovely stroll on the beach and managed to snap some photos of the enormous sea eagles flying around. Oh this is the life, after dinner the cicadas decided to crank up..... right on a tree next to our camper was the biggest one 50mm, the noise was deafening!
