12th Dec – Tubing and heading to Nambucca Heads

Kirstie and Mike are just amazing they certainly know how to keep two active boys entertained. Our days have often started with feeding the local visitors to the kitchen window; Butcher bird, Kookaburra and Magpies with their babies (so cute). This morning the boat was out again, but this time not with the fishing gear, but a tube. First Riley and Mike went and grabbed the crab pots left over night by the lake. We had two more! Knowing we had to leave today. We packed up everything super quick so we could enjoy the water again. Tubing and visiting a little manmade island, we walked around and found little flat heads.
Sadly though we need to keep moving up the coast, otherwise it will leave us with a long drive to Tweed Heads for Christmas. With a crab sandwich for lunch we hit the road. Thank goodness it was a nice drive along the Pacific Hwy, many of the sections are like new. About a 4 hour drive, it was a nice opportunity to reflect on just how much we have done over the last week. Arriving at 5.55pm we checked in then had to relocate ourselves to another spot as the camper was just a bit tight on the spot and with so many other sites available at this time of the year, we thought it would not be a problem.
