7th Jan - Markets & Seal Rocks

Sunday morning and we were up early with the excitement of buying something from the markets had the boys up and ready to go. We headed to two markets, ‘Black Head’ and ‘Pacific Palms’, it was a great atmosphere, Aiden got himself a little tin box with an XY GT Falcon on it and Riley a glass turtle to remind him of his swim with the turtles at Cook Island. Not much else unfortunately, many of the items were very expensive, markets aren’t what they use to be!

Continuing our drive further South (total of 65kms from camp) we enjoyed the drive and views of Boomerang Beach and Smiths Lake. We parked up and took the 600m big tree walk to the Lighthouse on Sugarloaf Point. The last bit of the walk was very steep and gave the calf muscles a good workout with magical views from every angle. Inspired by all of the 4WD on Lighthouse beach we decided this was our place for the afternoon, of course it had some waves so the boys agreed. Once again it was great to watching the boys on the waves, getting more confident every time we hit the beach, and a great opportunity for us to relax. The night ended with a family movie Terminator 3..........the boys are getting right into this series of movies J.
