19th Nov - Moondini Bluff

That evening found us with no power at the caravan park following the storm, this continued into the morning so we hit the road at 8.30am. Knowing we had a big day ahead Riley and I did a 40 min HITT workout while Aiden road around the park. A tough drive today, over 700kms and our lovely Aiden certainly tested our patience. It was a good opportunity to do some school work with the boys.

The highlight was jumping out and taking our photo in front of the ‘Australia’s Longest Straight’ sign. Chris drove this leg as he wanted to do it with his eyes closed! However Bell took on the responsibility of the ‘eyes closed’ and had a nap in the passenger seat. Certainly one thing we miss on this drive is the wildlife. It is amazing just how much you see when you head to Coral Bay. We have only seen two eagles to date, and a lot of road kill.  The only complaint we have with the setup on the trip is every time a truck comes past us the air pressure forces our wing mirror to fold in. So next stop its time to finally wedge that baby in place!!

We stopped a Moondini Bluff rest stop, 80km outside of the border for an overnight camp, we managed to park as far from the road as possible and collected wood for a campfire, only downside was the ants........ billions of them!
